What is Starlink?
Starlink is a large-scale project meant to bring internet to most,if not all, parts of the globe. Starlink uses thousands of satellites launched into low earth orbit to send internet signals wirelessly down to the surface. Eventually there will be Starlink satellites over every part of the world, carpeting the earth in internet signals. Click Here
How is Starlink Being Assembled?
As a special division within SpaceX, Starlink is being engineered by the same people. SpaceX also provides the Starlink project with access to lower earth orbit through their reusable rocket, the Falcon 9. With the Falcon 9 many Starlink satellites are able to be sent up into orbit again and again thanks to the reusable design of the rocket. This design also allows for the cost of launch to be a fraction of the cost of non-reusable rockets. Click Here
Use of Starlink
The main use of Starlink is for people who don't have access to modern, high-speed internet. People who live in remote or impoverished areas would benefit from Starlink since they wouldn't need to create entirely new internet infrastructure to get online. Instead all they need is a power source and the Starlink dish that will connect them to the satellites. Click Here
